Completed the trilogy of Pirates of the Caribbean. I went to watch it with my mother this afternoon, since my brother has once again fished out free Eng Wah vouchers from the sea. So yeah, went to the closest cinema, which was West Mall, boring. But I was there for the movie, not the shopping.

The movie's pretty predictable, so, I didn't know why my mother found it confusing. Oh yeah, she couldn't really tell the differences between Beckett and Norrington. Heh, since both of them wore the stupid white wig thingie that is really ridiculous looking. Plotwise... I found it lacking, but it's not really that important. Elizabeth has actually gotten herself a bigger role, she's pretty cool, but... she still thinks too much with her heart. And she should have smacked Will when she traded Jack for him. Will deserved to be smacked. >.< style="font-style: italic;">not favor him?! Barbossa... scheming and nasty as usual, but he's quite decent, and shows his nicer side for once. Jack's father should have more action, instead of that cameo he made during the voting of Pirate King. [reminds me of One Piece... eheh] Chow Yun Fat is seriously underrated. They insert him abruptly into the show and kill him off in the middle? What, was his pay too high?! Davy Jones... irritated me far too much.

The music's not bad though, sticks to its original theme and all. And I quite like the overall backstabbing and scheming and all that jazz. Will has finally wised up, Elizabeth shows her leadership skills, Jack... well, hallucinates some more. Barbossa becomes more interesting. But everything goes back to square one in the end. Will and Elizabeth are still kind of star crossed lovers, Jack... still hasn't really gotten his ship back, and Barbossa is sailing off with the Pearl. Familiar, no? It does however opens up the possibility of having another sequel, hopefully without the annoying sidekicks that Will and Elizabeth has become. It would be cool to see more of Jack and his past and his future; does he gets the immortality that he craves? And what's up with his dad? Is he someone special? He's got to be quite old, since Jack's like forty in the show?

Whatever.
